Mercedes Museum - June 3

Mercedes Museum

Cool Cars, need I say more?
This is a one liter quad bike that had a top speed of not very fast. This was the first motorised bike.

They had head pieces that would tell you about the cars you were looking at.

The steering wheel was face up, and not very easy to turn.

Some of the first major consumers were canneries, they would buy trucks to transport up to 30 barrels of beer.

This picture probably has some significance if you can read German
These were 1930 style limos (still look pretty darn cool though)

Me with the limo

This limo model was extremely popular, and lasted to 1939
I really like this car

The museum was a spiral hallway, so you could see the next exhibit from where you were standing.

Koke and Adders liked the old SLS
So did Sam

I really liked this car

Pretending

I need to point out that the cars from 1930 to the 1970's were really cool Even the Bug looking thing in the background looks cool, but now we drive big, fat looking cars. Old cars were slick and cool, I don't really know what happened. I think that the Volkswagen Hippie van ruined it all.

When we rounded the corner and saw this car, all of us males said "I want one"

Racing through the ages

They had a ride called the "Simulator" and from the outside we heard F1 noise, and there were steering wheels on the seats. It turned out to be a history ride about racing. The steering wheels didn't do anything. It was a little bit of a letdown, but was still cool.

These guys weren't tall enough to go on the ride, so they got ice creams instead.
