Saunton Sands Beach - August 16, 2016

On Tuesday we headed down the coast a bit to Saunton Sands Beach.
Except for the wind, it was a perfect beach day.
Taking my shift watching these cousins who did NOT want to get out of the water!

Preston and the boys were getting on the boogie boards.

Addy was in heaven!

We loved watching these bird kites. The tide was pretty far out at this point.
It was a busy day at the beach! I love the huts(and the wind shields- they were new to me).

Nate is acting dead. He thinks this is hilarious, his mom doesn't.

Sorry, not the best photos!

Falling over, but still smiling!

I like my sunhat. My skin was so pale(and still is)
from lack of sun time that I was really trying to avoid getting burned!

Addy loved boogie boarding! She giggled so much and kept saying,
"That's so cool, that's so cool!"

My cute in-laws enjoying each other's company.
The wind kept blowing the umbrella away so Grandpa had to hold it up!

Hungry, hungry kids! We brought lots of food for the day!

I have fun with this guy wherever we go!

Devon Here We Come! August 14 & 15, 2016

Preston's parents were meant to fly into London on the 14th and be picked up by Miles and taken to meet us in Combe Martin in the county of Devon for the week. Well, due to a flight cancelation they didn't make it until the 15th, but we headed down anyway. Miles' family and parents came down the next day. We were excited to spend the week exploring different beaches and the counties of Devon and Cornwall.

On the south-west tip of England- Devon is red, Cornwall is pink.

Road Trip(again)
This was the view out the window of the house we rented for the week.
We just walked down to the beach. Gorgeous!

We headed down to explore the rock pools because the tide was out.
The kids(and their dad) loved this!

It was absolutely beautiful!

I love the grass covered hills next to the coast.  Oh, lovely England!

Me and my Nate!

Hanging out with Grandpa when the tide was in.

Can you see the boat out on the water?

I just kept looking out the window the whole time we were there!
Well, when we weren't at the beach!

Camping with the Cousins! July 29-31, 201

We were so excited to go camping for two nights with our cousins! We went to Badgells Wood Camping in Kent(to the south-east of London). I was especially excited that there are no mosquitos or bears or mountain lions to worry about! We just relaxed and ate the whole time!
It really turned out to be the BEST camping EVER!!

Packed to the rim!

YUM!

The hammock I found at Costco was a hit all weekend.
Unfortunately, kids got crazy, flipped off it, and bonked their heads,
nothing serious though.

This is where Dal and Sam were all weekend...playing with fire :)

Daddy pushing the kids on the rope swing was definitely a highlight!

We went on a nature scavenger hunt that was fun.

We found this lovely thing

Kaylie's working on tying knots

My little boy is not so little anymore!

Burning Roasting Marshmallows!

I was there too!

Addy took this one!

Miles was a great cook for us all weekend!

Our wonderful friends lent us this ginormous tent! I could camp in it anytime!

She is thinking, "You are NOT taking my cards from me..." :)

Baby Owen was a trooper for his first camping trip!

I kinda love this one!

Our campsite was named "Primrose" and it was very secluded.
We couldn't see or really hear any other campers and it was
a full campground that weekend.
It was so nice to be surrounded by lovely trees!

Talking around the campfire at night is so fun!

Sleeping Beauty!

Time to go...sweeping all the dirt off the tent. I love that my hubby is so particular about this!

My Super Sam!

Our gorgeous campsite.
